El Sistema Colorado launches at two new Title 1 Denver Public Schools in Fall 2013, further strengthening our presence in Denver’s underserved Globeville, Elyria and Swansea neighborhoods. We begin at Swansea Elementary serving 100 kindergartners daily in-school, and provide Swansea’s third, fourth and fifth graders access to Garden Place’s after-school program.

We’re honored to also bring music back to Bruce Randolph Middle and High School, commencing in-school and after-school programs led by a full-time orchestra and band director. Staff also includes a full-time choir/musical theater teacher and several teaching artists serving our budding new group of sixth through¬†twelfth graders. Extending El Sistema Colorado to Bruce Randolph is critical in building a sustainable program that engenders deeper student engagement, lower drop-out rates and promotes post-secondary education opportunities.

El Sistema Colorado is very excited to expand the many opportunities and riches of music to more students and their families in partnership with Denver Public Schools.
